Purpose

Ciposa is proud to contribute to the success of its employees, clients, and partners in an flexible and caring environment. To achieve this, it aims to remain a sustainable company and maintain its status as a leader in its field. To meet these objectives, it relies on the following strengths:

  • Its heritage
  • Its expertise
  • Its shared governance
  • Its commitment to a desirable future (B Corp)
  • Its dedication to being an eco-friendly company (B Green)

Ciposa knows that while you can go faster alone, you go further together.

Expertise

Situated in the heart of the Jura Arc, the birthplace of micromechanics and precision machinery, our expertise naturally revolves around precision, repeatability, and working within strict tolerances.
This culture manifests in the development and production of proven platforms and modules, specifically designed for micro-assembly operations, lubrication, and component testing such as T0 watchmaking supplies, pogo pins, and optical switches.
We also benefit from the tradition of precision, meticulousness, and quality in our regional partners and subcontractors.

Shared Governance

If all decisions were made by a single brain cell, even something as simple as walking would be impossible. The amount of parallel information to process would result in decisions being made too slowly, and at the first obstacle, the individual would stumble. In reality, it’s the billions of neurons working together that make humans extremely efficient and agile machines.
At Ciposa, our employees are organized in circles where they take on one or more roles. Traditional management tasks are distributed across various support roles. As a result, hierarchical authority is replaced by role authority, where the mission holder can make decisions without needing approval from a superior.

HERITAGE

As a company specializing in micro-assembly, we design, develop, and manufacture modular and flexible equipment for the assembly and testing of small and very small components.
Located in the cradle of the watchmaking industry since 1966, we naturally specialized in the assembly and testing of components that require high precision and advanced technology.
We innovate to assist people in their daily tasks through personalized automation solutions, making tasks less tedious for users and more efficient than standard solutions available on the market.

B-CORP: On the path to a desirable future

Certified B Corp companies use the importance of their activities to create a more inclusive and sustainable economy based on the following five pillars:
Governance – Employees – Community – Environment – Customers
The journey is more important than the destination.
Aiming for B Corp certification reflects our commitment to sustainability. The evaluation by B-Lab, the non-profit organization that grants the certification, provides a benchmark to measure our actions by highlighting our strengths and weaknesses.
This evaluation serves as a guide to carry out cross-functional projects with positive impacts, visualize, and secure our progress.
Each day, we take another step in the right direction.

Sustainability Strategy

For Ciposa, becoming an eco-friendly company is not just a buzzword. In December 2023, the company's purpose was modified in the Neuchâtel commercial register as follows:
Study, development, manufacturing, sales, and servicing of equipment and machines in the fields of automation and microtechnology; in pursuing this objective, the company aims to have a significant positive societal and environmental impact within its business and operational activities.
Through the conduct of our activities, three strategic axes have been defined that will guide our responsibility towards the environment, governance, employees, the community, and our clients.
For each of these axes, objectives, key results, and measures have been defined.
A detailed action plan outlining all these measures is in progress. Concrete projects have already been implemented, such as an eco-design training provided by a professor from HE-Arc Neuchâtel to our mechanical designers, software developers, and project managers.
We aim to contribute to the growth of sustainability through direct impact projects, without jeopardizing client projects or complicating Ciposa’s operations.
